What we collect

When you request a walkthrough, we collect the information you enter: your name, work email, company, property count, property location, country and any optional message. We also retain the page and campaign attribution attached to the visit, such as UTM parameters or a Google click identifier.

Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to record page visits, interactions and advertising performance. Google and Meta may use cookies and receive page-view and technical browser or device information when their tags load.

When a walkthrough request is accepted, we send Meta a matching Lead event containing hashed versions of the submitted email, first and last name, and country, together with the source page, browser user agent and IP address. When you create a free account, we may retain Meta browser identifiers, IP address and user agent in encrypted form and use them with a hashed email/name to report registration and a later paid subscription to Meta.

We do not place names, email addresses, browser identifiers, IP addresses or free-form messages in product analytics.

Why we use it

We use this information to respond to your request, understand whether chucho can serve your properties, arrange a demonstration and manage the resulting business relationship. Campaign attribution helps us understand which marketing brought relevant inquiries.

Who processes it

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse. Lead and signup-attribution records are stored in chucho's operational database and notifications are delivered through our configured email provider. Google processes website activity sent through Google Analytics. Meta processes website activity and Lead, CompleteRegistration and Purchase events sent through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising measurement. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and sharing

We keep lead information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell lead information. We may disclose it when required by law or to service providers operating our systems under our direction.

You may ask to access, correct or delete information submitted through this form, subject to records we must retain. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject.

ChatGPT plugin

The chucho plugin is provided by Pathos Inc. Public property search requires no chucho account. The plugin receives the tool inputs ChatGPT sends, such as destination and amenity filters, guest count, language and public property IDs. These may include search text supplied through the search tool; we do not store that text in product analytics.

Property-detail views and successful host-link actions are recorded in the existing product analytics system using the public property ID, event type, language and a temporary random session identifier. The identifier lasts for the card view and is not stored in a cookie or persistent browser storage. We do not put conversation text, contact details, booking URLs, IP addresses or payment information in these events. Searches are not recorded as product analytics events.

Product analytics use the platform’s existing event store and operational retention practices. It currently has no automatic event-expiry period. Service hosting and network providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and user agents, for delivery, security and diagnostics; that is separate from product analytics.

ChatGPT processes your conversation under OpenAI’s own terms and policies. When you follow a host booking link, the host website processes booking and payment information under its own policies. chucho does not take payment or place the reservation. Booking enquiries

When you choose to enquire about a participating property, chucho receives the host form answers you provide, including your name, party size, dates or flexible-date choice, preferred contact method, email or phone where supplied, and additional requested answers. ChatGPT receives those inputs and the proposal review so you can check them before approving submission.

Preparing an enquiry stores an encrypted proposal and does not notify the host. Proposals expire after 30 minutes; expired unsubmitted proposals are removed when another proposal is prepared. After explicit approval, chucho stores the enquiry and its form snapshot in its operational database and attempts to notify the configured host recipients through its email provider. Authorised property administrators can view and manage enquiries. Submitted enquiries and their linked proposals currently have no automatic deletion period. Contact details and answers are not added to product analytics events.

An enquiry does not create a reservation or confirm availability. The host processes the information received under its own policies. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact [email protected].

Travel video links

When video lookup is enabled and you ask chucho to explore a public Instagram, TikTok or YouTube travel link, we send the individual public link to Mindcase to retrieve its caption, metadata and available media. Source captions and selected images are returned to ChatGPT to help identify a public travel destination. This does not retrieve your social account credentials or private posts. Mindcase processes the submitted link under its privacy policy.

We cache retrieval results in server memory for up to 15 minutes; downloaded clips and temporary frame files are deleted after processing. We do not store submitted video URLs, captions or images in our operational database or product analytics. Usage protection stores daily aggregate cost reservations and a daily HMAC of the network caller address, rather than the raw IP address. Diagnostic metrics contain the source platform, outcome, elapsed time and reserved cost.
