Questions guests ask before booking

Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Unless otherwise stated, all payments are non-refundable. If you cancel, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates; reopening is the owner's decision. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after full payment is collected for the new reservation. If no new reservation is made, you may use the original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts.

Is a security deposit required?

In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement. Approved special uses may require an increased security deposit.

How can balance payments be made?

Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire.

Who manages the stay after booking?

The property is in the Elite program: the homeowner manages on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation.
