Questions
Questions guests ask before booking
Answered by the host; the same facts Chucho uses.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. After cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates; reopening is the owner's decision. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation is collected. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use their original dates if payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before the reservation starts.
Is a security deposit required?
In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection. Coverage details are in the booking agreement. Approved special uses may require an increased security deposit.
How can balance payments be made?
Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire.
Who manages the stay after booking?
The homeowner manages on-the-ground operations and guest communication after the booking is confirmed.
