House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Additional guests require express approval and may incur a $100.00 fee per person per night. Events are prohibited; any proposed event, commercial activity or other non-traditional use, including rotating guest groups, requires prior written host approval and may entail additional fees or an increased security deposit. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $225.00 per night of the reservation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Marquis may work with the owner to reopen cancelled dates, at the owner’s discretion. If all original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation. If not rebooked, the original guest may still use the original dates provided scheduled payments are fulfilled and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may need to show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and schedule reasonable daytime visits.

Getting there

The property is not handicap accessible. Bedrooms are on the second floor, with an additional sleeping space on the lower level. Nearby beaches include Mecox, Ocean Road and W. Scott Cameron; there is no beach access at the property. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be seasonal; inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, as spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
