House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is 12; additional guests are not permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage costs. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancelled dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use their original dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection covers up to $25,000, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Ski-in/ski-out on Windham Mountain, steps from Windham Mountain ski trails, Windham Path trails and Windham Mountain Bike Park. Bedrooms are on the first and second floors. The house is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
