Getting there
A car is necessary. Seasonal private beach access is through a gated path. Pounders Beach, the Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU–Hawaii and Laie Hawaii Temple are within walking distance. Hukilau Beach, Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, Kahuku shrimp trucks and Turtle Bay golf are a short drive away. Local wildlife can include geckos, roosters and peacocks.
