House rules

The primary renter must be at least 21 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $75.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $5,000 is required, governed by a separate Security Deposit Agreement signed by the owner and guest before check-in. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis may attempt to rebook the original dates if the owner agrees to reopen them. If the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued once the replacement reservation is fully paid. If it is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime appointments.

Getting there

Not suitable for multiple families. Three bedrooms are on the second floor and one is on the main floor. The home is close to beaches, shopping, restaurants and farmers markets. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
