The pool-maintenance team requires access to the house on Tuesdays and Fridays. Despite a pest-control plan, occasional encounters with insects, lizards, rodents and reptiles are part of the tropical setting and do not constitute a breach of the rental policy. A service fee of $83 varies with the number of days; a cleaning fee of $69 may vary.
Getting there
The beach is a five-minute walk away, near Marino Ballena National Park. The home is on a quiet tropical cul-de-sac; a 4×4 is not required. Travel from San José (SJO) Airport takes approximately 3.5 hours by car. An alternative is a 20-minute flight from SJO to Quepos Airport followed by 50 minutes by car. Occasional weather-related power outages and interruptions to the spring-fed water supply can occur.
