The lodge is part of a ten-lodge retreat set in landscaped grounds around a private lake, with views across the Cleveland Hills towards Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s Monument. Shared facilities include a clear-fronted sauna overlooking Roseberry Topping, a small children’s playground, and a dog play park and walking area.
Walks and hikes start from the doorstep. A public footpath runs approximately one mile through fields to Great Ayton, which has local shops, pubs, cafés, an ice cream shop and a pie shop.
