The house

Transporter Lodge sleeps six guests in three bedrooms, with four beds and two bathrooms. Guests have access to the full lodge, which has lake views, a hot tub and a wood burner. A bathtub, BBQ grill and bed linens are provided.

The lodge is part of a ten-lodge retreat set in landscaped grounds around a private lake, with views across the Cleveland Hills towards Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s Monument. Shared facilities include a clear-fronted sauna overlooking Roseberry Topping, a small children’s playground, and a dog play park and walking area.

Walks and hikes start from the doorstep. A public footpath runs approximately one mile through fields to Great Ayton, which has local shops, pubs, cafés, an ice cream shop and a pie shop. Great Ayton Train Station is three miles from the retreat, with direct services to destinations across Northern England. Bus routes from Great Ayton serve Guisborough, Middlesbrough and Stokesley. On-site parking is available.
