The house

The barn and adjacent guest house accommodate up to eight guests together. Antique furnishings are mixed with contemporary pieces. The main house has three bedrooms, a great room with soaring ceilings and wide-plank floors, a sitting room, dining space and two fireplaces. The kitchen includes river fossil stone flooring, Caesarstone counters, a Vermont soapstone sink, a restored 1930s Magic Chef stove and a breakfast bar overlooking the preserve. Central air and Bose surround sound are provided.

Two main-house bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed; both have ensuite bathrooms and access to the lawn. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, a child bed and an ensuite bathroom. The guest house provides additional sleeping space with two queen beds, a living room, full bathroom, streaming TV, Peloton bike and yoga mats.

Outdoor facilities include stone dining patios, a gas grill, gardens, mature trees, a private heated 48-by-18-foot gunite pool with a waterfall, a hot tub and an outdoor shower. Protected woodland includes ponds and a stream, with private access to the 150-acre Sagg Swamp Preserve. The main house is approximately 2,400 square feet, with an additional 900 square feet in the guest house. Bed linens, bath towels, pool/beach towels, a hair dryer, washer and dryer are provided.

The homeowner manages on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation.
