House rules
Maximum occupancy is 10; no additional guests beyond this limit are permitted. Pets and smoking anywhere on the property are prohibited. Events are prohibited under the standard policy. Any reservation involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups requires prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included in the rental amount, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $5,000 is required, governed by a separate Security Deposit Agreement signed by owner and guest before check-in. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. Use coasters and/or tablecloths on the live-edge wooden dining and cocktail tables. Avoid drinking red wine and dark liquids near the white living-room couch. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.
Getting there
The house stands atop a 100-foot bluff; beach access is via a private staircase to a 500-foot beachfront. A stone path leads to the tennis court. The second-floor boudoir is not accessible to guests, and roof access is strictly prohibited. The property is not suitable for children aged four and under. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; seasonal cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
Check dates and price before continuing with the host. A check does not reserve your stay. Confirm the terms with the host at staymarquis.com.
