The house

The Breaker House occupies five acres atop a 100-foot bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. The approximately 6,000-square-foot, black-clad residence has an open floorplan, four bedrooms and an enclosed additional sleeping area in the Peacock Room. Three bedrooms have king beds, one has a queen bed, and the Peacock Room has a sleeper sofa. All four bedrooms have full ensuite bathrooms; the Peacock Room has a full Jack-and-Jill ensuite bathroom. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 have balconies or decks, and Bedroom 4 has streaming TV.

A private staircase leads to a secluded 500-foot beachfront. Outdoor facilities include a Har-Tru tennis court with a ball machine, racquet equipment, a charcoal grill and a patio. The tennis court is reached along a stone path. Indoors, facilities include a kitchen with microwave, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, a fireplace, washer and dryer. Bed linens, bath and pool/beach towels, a hair dryer and ironing equipment are provided. There is no pool or hot tub.

The homeowner manages on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation through the Elite program. Shinnecock Hills is 40 minutes away.
