House rules
The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional persons and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during the same stay require prior written host approval; additional fees or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner’s discretion and rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.
Getting there
The two-story house is close to East Hampton village and a short walk from a three-mile harbor. It is not suitable for unrelated guests. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
Check dates and price before continuing with the host. A check does not reserve your stay. Confirm the terms with the host at staymarquis.com.
