House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is six; additional guests are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional requested cleanings are at guests' expense. Pets require owner approval; the dog approval fee is $200 per dog per booking, and additional fees and/or a security deposit may apply. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; amounts above $3,500 must be paid by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Nearby beaches include Main Beach, Georgica Beach, Wiborg Beach, Eqypt Beach and Two Mile Hollow Beach. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be unavailable outside Memorial Day to Labor Day; inquire before booking. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
