House rules

The primary renter must be at least 28 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are strictly prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection covers up to $25,000, subject to the booking agreement. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is on a private lane beside Shinnecock Hills Golf Course. Nearby beaches include Cooper's Beach, Flying Point Beach, Halsey Neck Beach, Cryder Beach and Little Plains Beach. Inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; seasonal cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
