House rules

The primary renter must be at least 26 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional guests are prohibited without express approval; a fee of $250.00 per person per night may be required. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written host approval and may involve additional fees or an increased security deposit. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $200.00 per night of the reservation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If a cancellation is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. Reopening dates is at the owner's discretion. If the property is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided payments are current and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 in damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Town is within walking distance. Nearby beaches include Coopers Beach, Halsey Neck Beach and Meadow Lane Beach. All bedrooms are on the second floor, and the property is not handicap accessible. Inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
