House rules

Maximum occupancy is eight guests. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Pets require prior owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. After cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment is collected for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Area beaches are a 10-minute walk away. Nearby beaches include Cooper's Beach, Flying Point Beach, Halsey Neck Beach, Cryder Beach and Little Plains Beach. Three guest bedrooms are upstairs; the primary bedroom is on the main floor. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture, equipment and pool availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
