House rules

The primary renter must be at least 21. Smoking and pets are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during one stay, require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If canceled dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and successfully rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued once the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger balance payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement.

Getting there

The property is not wheelchair accessible. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be seasonal; inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
