House rules

Reservations require approval before confirmation. Maximum occupancy is eight; no additional guests are permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited. Event-related, commercial or other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during one stay, require prior written host approval and may involve additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $120.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional requested cleanings are at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, reopening dates for rebooking is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after the new reservation is paid in full. If no new reservation is made, the original stay may still be used provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for unrelated guests. The primary renter must be at least 36 years old. Outdoor pools typically operate from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May; inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day about outdoor furniture and equipment availability.
