House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is eight; additional guests are not permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating guest groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per reservation night. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. An additional security deposit may be considered for longer-term rentals. In lieu of a standard security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If not rebooked, guests may use their original dates if payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. The owner may arrange property showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

All bedrooms and both full bathrooms are on the second floor; the powder room is on the main floor. The property is not handicap accessible. Crescent Beach and Wades Beach are a short drive or bike ride away. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
