House rules

Maximum occupancy is 10. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. One dog of 30 lbs or less is permitted; larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. Events are prohibited without express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during one stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage costs. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If a guest cancels, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation is collected. If not rebooked, guests may use the original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is elevated and has bedrooms on the main floor, second floor, third floor and lower level. It is not handicap accessible. The seaplane dock is less than a five-minute taxi ride away; Sunset Beach Club is a short scenic walk away. The property does not provide beach access. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool availability and outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
