The house

This furnished home accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. Its elevated backyard overlooks Shelter Island Sound and includes a private pool, expansive sundeck, lounge seating, a shaded deck, outdoor dining and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a grill.

Inside, an open-concept layout has vaulted ceilings and walls of glass framing water views. The kitchen has premium appliances, a microwave and a central island. The dining area seats eight, and the living room has double-height ceilings and a fireplace. A gym has strength-training equipment; there is also a dedicated work-from-home space, Sonos system, smart TVs, Wi-Fi, central air conditioning, heating and a washer/dryer. Bed linens, bath towels, pool/beach towels, a hair dryer and an iron/ironing board are provided. There is no hot tub or crib.

The main-floor bedroom has two double beds, an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combination and a balcony. The second-floor primary bedroom has a king bed, an ensuite with a separate shower and tub, and a balcony. The third-floor guest bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony; a powder room is on that floor. The two lower-level bedrooms have a king bed and two twin beds respectively, each with an ensuite bathroom. The lower-level king bedroom has a TV.

Ample parking is available, and the seaplane dock is less than a five-minute taxi ride away. Sunset Beach Club is a short scenic walk away for beachfront dining. The homeowner handles on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation.
