House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of six are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited; reservations involving events, commercial activities or other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during a stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. One dog of 50 lbs or less is permitted for $250.00 per booking. Larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. The additional fee schedule specifies $250 per dog per booking. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool availability and outdoor furniture and equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If a canceled stay is reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If it is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided payments meet the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the stay. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above that amount must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement's coverage details. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The third bedroom is in an upstairs loft reached by stairs. The property is not handicap accessible. Nearby beaches include Shell Beach, Wades Beach and Crescent Beach.
