Serenity by La Jolla Shores is a furnished, 1,102-square-foot condo sleeping four at Torrey Pines Racquet Club, a 1966 mid-century modern community designed by Loch Crane, a former apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright. An elevator serves the second floor.
The open living and dining area has a green sectional, enclosed gas fireplace, smart TV, large sliding doors and a dining table for four. A dedicated desk behind a black-framed glass screen includes a gaming computer monitor. The remodeled kitchen has white cabinetry, dark countertops, a full-size range, French-door refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, mixer, cookware and utensils. A stacked washer and dryer are in the kitchen.
The primary bedroom has a king bed with separately adjustable comfort levels, an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, walk-in closet, wall fan, smart TV and the condo's only portable AC unit. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a nearby full bathroom with a tub/shower combination, a wall of closet doors, wall fan and smart TV; it has no AC. Both bathrooms have been remodeled.
The residential community's courtyard has a shared pool and hot tub with loungers and umbrellas. Wi-Fi, linens, beach towels, a hair dryer and shampoo are provided. The condo has a private entrance and self check-in/check-out. Safety equipment includes smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit.
The beach, surf lessons, kayak tours, tide pooling, cafes and shops are nearby. La Jolla Cove, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Conrad and La Jolla Village are a short drive away. San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest airport. Street parking is the only parking option, and spaces can be hard to find. The balcony is secured and unavailable to guests.
