House rules
Maximum occupancy is nine. The primary renter must be at least 28 years old. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during a stay, require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen and rebook the original dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price and replacement payment is collected in full, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates if payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement.
Getting there
All four bedrooms and both full bathrooms are on the second floor; the half bathroom is on the main floor. Greenport and Southold are each a five-minute drive away. The backyard is not fenced. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment.
Check dates and price before continuing with the host. A check does not reserve your stay. Confirm the terms with the host at staymarquis.com.
