House rules

Maximum occupancy is 10; no additional guests are permitted. The primary renter must be at least 30. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, rotating groups or other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as costs over $150.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. At the owner's discretion, Marquis may reopen canceled dates and attempt to rebook them. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, the original stay may still be used when scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement's coverage terms. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is a block from the beach and close to Sagg Pond and Atlantic Ocean beaches. It is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for unrelated guests. Bedrooms and bathrooms are distributed across two floors.
