House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Maximum occupancy is 10; no additional persons are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during a stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $125.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Payments are generally non-refundable. If the owner agrees to reopen canceled dates and Marquis successfully rebooks the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, the original stay may still be used provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement’s coverage terms.

Getting there

Local ocean beaches are minutes away, including Sagg Main, Gibson Beach and Peter’s Pond. Bicycles are available for trips into town. The property is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for unrelated guests. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
