House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25. Maximum occupancy is three; additional guests beyond this limit are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Event-related reservations, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Pets require owner approval and may incur fees and/or a security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If the owner agrees to reopen cancelled dates and the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If it is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The driveway is shared with the main house. The bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast dining area are in a separate structure. The property is not wheelchair accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool availability and outdoor furniture and equipment; seasonal cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
