House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Additional guests and events are prohibited without express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during a stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Pets require owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $140.00 per night of the reservation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If a guest cancels, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, the guest may use the original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the home to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is on a quiet street minutes from Sag Harbor town. Nearby beaches include Mecox Beach, W. Scott Cameron Beach and Sagg Main Beach. The property is not handicap accessible. Inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day about pool availability and outdoor furniture and equipment; seasonal cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
