House rules

Maximum occupancy is eight; no additional guests are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during one stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. One dog of 25 lbs or less is permitted for $150.00 per booking. Larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and an end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional requested cleanings are at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and successfully rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use the original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Not suitable for unrelated guests. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. The property is not handicap accessible. Nearby beaches include Foster Memorial Town Beach, Sagg Main Beach and Ocean Road Beach; the property does not include beach access. Before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
