House rules

Reservations require approval before confirmation. Maximum occupancy is eight guests, and the primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Additional guests and events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups during a stay require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $70.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking is collected. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement's coverage details. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is not handicap accessible. A bedroom and full bathroom are on the lower level. Historic Main Street is a short drive or easy bike ride away. Nearby beaches include Foster Memorial Town Beach, Sagg Main Beach and Ocean Road Beach. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
