House rules

The primary renter must be at least 21 years old. No additional persons beyond the maximum occupancy of six are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited; any proposed events, commercial activities or other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during one stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. One dog weighing 25 lbs or less is permitted for $25.00 per night. Dogs over 25 lbs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval; please inquire. The additional-fee schedule specifies $25 per dog per night. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as costs over $45.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest’s expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will make best efforts to arrange reopening of the dates, at the owner’s discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the new reservation is collected. If the property is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Waterfront and beachfront, within walking distance of Main Street. Havens Beach, a farmer’s market and a dog park are nearby. The property is not suitable for multiple families and unrelated guests and is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
