The house

The estate combines the main residence with sleeping quarters in Jack’s Cottage, Abigail Cottage and the Japanese Tea House. Gardens, rose-lined paths and mature palms surround the property.

A 52-foot living room originally designed for stage productions has a grand fireplace, mahogany finishes and archways. The indoor-outdoor loggia includes a conversation nook, a fireside television lounge and a dining area. The kitchen has a La Cornue range and butler’s pantry, alongside a breakfast nook with a fireplace. French doors lead to a courtyard with a mosaic fountain and fire pit. A formal dining room with a Carrara marble table connects toward the billiards room; a bookshelf conceals the wine cellar and tasting room.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, two ensuite bathrooms, garden and pool views, central air conditioning and space for a crib or Pack and Play. Bedrooms two through four each have a queen bed, an ensuite bathroom, garden views, direct garden access, central air conditioning and space for a crib or Pack and Play. Bedroom five has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Jack’s Cottage has a queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and private sauna; Abigail Cottage has a twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom; the Japanese Tea House has a queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. An additional full guest bathroom completes the ten bathrooms.

Outdoor facilities include a private pool, hot tub, private tennis court, bocce and pickleball courts, outdoor seating and a private yard. Indoor recreation includes a home theatre, billiards, table tennis, a fitness room, smart television and a Sonos audio system. Beach towels and a beach umbrella are provided. Laundry facilities include a washer and dryer. Children are welcome, with a crib, high chair and Pack and Play available. Security cameras, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher and outdoor lighting are provided.

The estate is adjacent to Lotusland and near Butterfly and Hammonds beaches, Coast Village Road boutiques and dining, the Rosewood Miramar Hotel, San Ysidro Ranch and Hot Springs Canyon Trailhead. Santa Barbara Airport is approximately 25 minutes away. Long-term stays are also allowed.
