House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of eight are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Event-related reservations, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $38.33 per reservation night. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen and rebook the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If no replacement booking is made, the original stay may still be used if scheduled payments have been made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection of up to $25,000 is provided, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The fifth bedroom is configured as a den/office and can be converted upon request. The property is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of the pool, outdoor furniture and equipment; seasonal cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
