House rules

The primary renter must be at least 27 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of 12 are permitted. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events are prohibited; events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during one stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as utility costs over $95.00 per night of the reservation. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional cleanings are available at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. On cancellation, reopening dates is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued once the replacement reservation is fully paid. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement's coverage details. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Not handicap accessible. Not suitable for children aged four and under. Confirm pool and outdoor furniture/equipment availability before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
