House rules
The hotel has a strict no-smoking policy. Children of all ages are welcome. Complimentary cots are available; extra beds for children up to 16 years cost £80 per day. Guaranteed check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. Early check-in and late checkout depend on availability. Late checkout is charged at £50 per hour; departure after 2:00 pm incurs a fee equal to that day’s nightly rate. Four EV charging points are available, with charges via the Monta app. For bedroom categories other than Room 1, cancellation or amendment must be made by 3:00 pm GMT two days before arrival to avoid a cancellation charge; long-stay bookings differ and group bookings are reviewed case by case.
Getting there
The hotel is on Oxford’s High Street opposite St Mary’s Church and steps from the Radcliffe Camera. The car park entrance is on Magpie Lane, accessed through Merton Street. A bus-gate traffic restriction applies on the High Street between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm; drivers can reach the restriction and make a U-turn to avoid a fine. Gloucester Green bus and coach station is about a ten-minute walk away; Oxford train station is about a 15-minute walk away.
