House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of six are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited; reservations involving events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups or other non-traditional uses require prior written approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservation approval is required before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory and in-stay cleanings are at the guest's expense. Payments are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at an equal or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If the property is not rebooked, guests may retain their original stay provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection of up to $25,000 applies, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime visits.

Getting there

The lakefront yard leads down to a sandy beach. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
