The house

The house combines an original beach cottage with a newer barn-style addition. White interiors, hardwood accents and sliding barn doors surround an open-plan main room, dining area and kitchen. The main room has a two-story double-vaulted ceiling and two oversized couches. Three fireplaces are located in the main room, primary suite and den.

Four bedrooms are in the main house: a first-floor primary suite with a king bed, television and ensuite bathroom, plus three upstairs bedrooms with two queen beds and one double/full bed between them. An adjoining wing has a family room and two additional bedrooms with a king bed and a double/full bed. There are four full bathrooms and one half bathroom overall.

The equipped eat-in kitchen has a Wolfe stove, Sub Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher and granite island seating four. The formal dining area seats eight and has a wet bar and wine refrigerator. Additional facilities include central air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, washer and dryer, linens, towels, hair dryer, hot water, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a private entrance and driveway parking for four cars. Televisions are provided in the primary bedroom, main living room and den.

The landscaped backyard has a private heated outdoor Gunite pool, fire pit and grill. Bicycles and an indoor/outdoor Sonos sound system are provided. Nearby town shops include Breadzilla and Levain Bakery-Wainscott; Wainscott and East Hampton beaches are a short bike ride or drive away.

The homeowner handles on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.
