House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is 12; additional guests require express approval. Smoking is not allowed. Events require express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating groups during a stay, require prior written host approval; additional fees or an increased security deposit may apply. One dog of 10 lbs or less is permitted for an additional $2,000.00 per booking. Larger dogs, multiple dogs and all other pets require express approval; please inquire. The additional-fees schedule specifies $2,000 per dog per booking. Utilities are included in the rental amount, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If a cancelled stay is reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the booking schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. The owner may arrange property showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to use reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Veterans Beach is nearby. North Fork wineries, farm stands, beaches and restaurants are a short drive away. The home spans two levels and is not handicap accessible. The pool is unfenced.
