The house

Maluhia offers nearly 5,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor living. The vaulted-ceiling great room has a stone fireplace, pool views and an open layout connecting the sitting, dining and kitchen areas. The dining table seats eight. The fully equipped kitchen includes an island with bar seating, granite counters, a Viking range, double ovens and cookware.

Four bedrooms provide two king beds and two queen beds. The primary bedroom has a private balcony, pool and garden views, a sitting area, desk and ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. The Blue and Pink bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a shower. Guest Bedroom 3 has its own ensuite shower bathroom. A fourth full bathroom on the main level has a shower and washer/dryer. Split air conditioning is available throughout, and all four bedrooms have ceiling fans.

The private lagoon-style pool has a rock waterfall, with a separate heated spa. Tropical gardens surround the pool, and a covered lanai includes a built-in Viking grill and outdoor dining. The private yard has an outdoor shower and a gate leading to Kailua Beach. Beach chairs, towels and a cooler are provided; beach equipment rentals are also available for a charge.

Indoor facilities include Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, satellite or cable television, stereo, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker. Gated driveway parking, self check-in and self check-out are available. Kailua Beach Park, Kalapawai Market, Island Snow and local cafés are within walking distance. Lanikai Beach, Waimanalo Beach, Kailua Town shopping and dining, golf courses, Makapuu Point Lighthouse and Nuuanu Pali Lookout are a short drive away.

The home is offered as a 30-day rental. Standard occupancy is eight guests, with a maximum of nine for an additional fee. A refundable electric security deposit of $1,000 applies, and the maximum included electricity charge is $500. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
