House rules

The primary renter must be at least 35 years old. No guests beyond the maximum occupancy of 12 are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating guest groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. One dog weighing 12 lbs or less is permitted. Larger dogs, multiple dogs and all other pets require express approval. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $135.00 per night of the reservation. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates; reopening is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment is collected for the new reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Nearby beaches include Sag Main and Ocean Rd. The house includes second-floor and lower-level sleeping areas and is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
