House rules

Maximum occupancy is five; no additional persons are permitted. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Events are prohibited. Any proposed event, commercial activity, other non-traditional use or rotating guest group requires prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Pets require owner approval and may incur fees and/or a security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $45.00 per night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen the dates. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, use of the original dates remains possible when payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property carries up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement's coverage terms. The owner may show the home to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Nearby beaches include White Sands, Napeague Harbor and Lazy Point. A large pond for kayaking and paddleboarding is across the road from the private driveway. The backyard is not fenced. The home is not suitable for multiple families, unrelated guests or children aged four and under. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old.
