House rules

Reservations require approval before confirmation. Smoking is not allowed. Additional guests and events are prohibited without express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during a stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests pay excessive utility costs, defined as costs over $135.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Pets require owner approval; the dog approval fee is $200 per dog per booking, and additional fees and/or a security deposit may apply. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Marquis may work with the owner to reopen canceled dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Main Beach, Georgica Beach, Wiborg Beach, Eqypt Beach and Two Mile Hollow Beach are nearby. One bedroom is on the second floor. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
