The house

Hale Ohana has nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor space. Sliding doors connect the main living areas to the outdoors, with several lounges and a dining room overlooking the garden. The renovated kitchen has two islands, wood cabinetry, premium appliances, a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, wine fridge and small appliances. An upper deck has a built-in BBQ with pool and treetop views.

Outdoor areas include a covered lanai, sun patio, private yard, garden, outdoor shower, seating and dining areas. The private heated pool has a waterfall feature, and there is a hot tub. A rooftop deck offers peekaboo ocean views. The game room includes Spider-Man pinball, ping pong and lounge space. Smart television and satellite or cable TV are available.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, garden and pool views, and an ensuite with shower and double sink. Guest bedroom 2 has a queen bed, garden view and loveseat; it shares a shower bathroom with guest bedroom 3, which has a double bed. Guest bedroom 4 has a queen bed in the guest wing beside the game room. A nearby shower bathroom serves the guest wing and entertainment area and has exterior access. Split air conditioning runs throughout, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. The primary and cottage beds have been swapped, so older photos may not show the current arrangement.

Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, linens, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas are available. Additional beach equipment rentals are available for a charge. Free parking and street parking are available. Public beach access is a 5–7 minute walk away, and Nico’s restaurant, local shops and cafés are within walking distance. Kailua Town, Waimanalo Beach, Makapu’u Lighthouse and Pillbox trails are a short drive away. A car is recommended.

The home is rented exclusively for a full 30-day period, with the full monthly charge applying regardless of nights stayed. Standard occupancy is eight, with a maximum of ten subject to additional guest fees. Online bookings require manager or owner approval.
