The house

Hale A Kai accommodates up to 10 guests in four bedrooms with four bathrooms, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac off Ali‘i Drive. The updated home has tropical furnishings and an open-plan living and dining area with a large Smart TV. Sliding doors lead to shaded lanai dining, seating and the backyard. The indoor dining table seats six, and the breakfast nook seats five.

The fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and grinder, kettle, toaster, blender, rice cooker, crockpot and ice machine. The private fenced yard includes a hot tub, shade sail, loungers, outdoor shower and space for outdoor games. A BBQ grill is on the lanai. Upstairs and downstairs lanais offer garden, mountain and partial ocean views.

The primary bedroom and Guest Bedroom 2 each have a king bed, sofa bed, ensuite bathroom and lanai access. Guest Bedroom 3 has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Guest Bedroom 4 has two twin beds and an adjacent full bathroom. All bedrooms have window air conditioning on four-hour timers and ceiling fans; air conditioning is limited to bedrooms.

Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, a cooler, beach mats and a wheeled beach cart are available. Additional beach equipment rentals are available for a charge. A washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, Ethernet connection, Smart TV, DVD player and satellite or cable TV are provided. A crib and pack and play are available, and children are welcome. The home has a private entrance, smartlock entry and self check-in/check-out. Safety equipment includes a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, smoke detector and outdoor lighting.

Free garage and driveway parking are available. Magic Sands Beach, Ali‘i Drive cafés, shops and ocean overlooks are within walking distance. Hulihe‘e Palace, Mokuaikaua Church, Kona Farmer’s Market, Kona town center and snorkeling coves along Ali‘i Drive are a short drive away. A car is recommended. Long-term stays are also allowed.
