Pets require owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses, or rotating groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $135.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. After cancellation, reopening the dates is at the owner's discretion. If the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If it is not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH, or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.
