House rules

The primary renter must be at least 40 years old. Maximum occupancy is eight; additional guests require express approval. Pets and smoking are prohibited. Events, commercial activities, rotating groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Reservations require approval before confirmation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If the owner agrees to reopen cancelled dates and the property is rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If it is not rebooked, guests may use the original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; amounts above $3,500 must be paid by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, damage protection of up to $25,000 applies, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Just outside East Hampton village, less than a five-minute drive to the village center and less than ten minutes to the ocean. The property is not handicap accessible. The outdoor shower is not functional. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability.
