Things to know
Before you book
House rules
The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is six; additional guests are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Pets require owner approval; the dog approval fee is $150 per dog per booking, and additional fees and/or a security deposit may apply. Events are prohibited without express approval. Events, commercial activities and other non-traditional uses, including rotating guest groups during one stay, require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage, defined as utility costs over $55.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment availability; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If a guest cancels, Marquis will make best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, the guest may use the original dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, providing advance notice and making efforts to schedule them during reasonable daytime hours.
Getting there
East Hampton Main Beach and Two Mile Hollow Beach are a short drive or leisurely bike ride away. All bedrooms are upstairs. The property is not handicap accessible. The backyard overlooks a nature preserve from a promontory, with moderate drop-offs in places and only partial fencing; exercise caution, particularly with small children.
Check dates and price before continuing with the host. A check does not reserve your stay. Confirm the terms with the host at staymarquis.com.
