House rules

The primary renter must be at least 21. Smoking is not permitted. Additional persons and pets require express approval. Events are prohibited under the standard events policy; event-related reservations, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $100.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments have been made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments above $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property includes up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

The home is in Hansom Hills, less than two miles from East Hampton and minutes from bay and ocean beaches. Main Beach is nearby. Driveway parking accommodates three cars. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about pool, outdoor furniture and equipment availability. Seasonal cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
